Writing Challenge #6

Your challenge this week is to use 'show not tell' writing to explain a time you were angry (made up or real).

 Remember you need to choose sentences and words which show me you are angry, without using the word angry! 

For example, you might say that you stomped your feet, or you slammed the door.

Your challenge is to write a story about this Easter Bunny.

 You can describe the bunny using adjectives and use joining words to help add details. 

What will your bunny do? 

Where will your bunny go?

Don't forget to use adjectives (describing words) to help explain your ideas.  

Extra for experts: Use the joining words 'so'  and 'which'  to explain what the different body parts you have described are used for.

See if you can use the joining word 'because' to explain why you like it so much!

You can choose any sport not just the ones pictured.

Write three facts you want Mrs Robertson and Room 11 to know about you!  

Some ideas include your pet's name, something you are good at, your favourite hobby, a place you went to in the holidays, something you are allergic to, or your favourite sport to play.

Writing Challenges

Welcome to the Writing Challenge Page! 

Several times a term Mrs Robertson and/or Room 11 students will select a topic as a challenge to write about.  Simply record your entry in the comments section.  

All entries receive a small prize from Mrs Robertson (sticker, fruit burst, pencil etc). 

Remember:  

*Only use your FIRST NAME in your entries. 

*Your parents/caregivers/siblings can help you with your entries. 

*Mrs Robertson will authorise any post before it is posted - this means she will check that all entries are appropriate and 'internet safe'. 

*There will be a delay between publishing your entry and it appearing on the blog - this is because it is waiting for Mrs Robertson to authorise the entry.
